Acceptance of terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Verso app, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the app. Continued use of Verso after any changes to the terms constitutes acceptance of the updated conditions.
License to use
Verso grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the app solely for personal, non-commercial devotional purposes. You may not use Verso for commercial purposes, or sublicense, sell, rent, or transfer the app to any third party.
Subscriptions and automatic renewal
Verso offers an optional subscription that unlocks additional features. The subscription is managed and processed entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play — Verso does not process payments or store card data.
The subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Cancellation and subscription management are handled directly in your store account (Account Settings in the App Store or Google Play). Refunds are handled according to Apple’s or Google’s policies, as applicable.
Bible content
The Bible verses displayed in Verso come exclusively from public-domain translations: in English, the World English Bible (WEB) and the King James Version (KJV); in Portuguese, the Almeida (public domain); in Spanish, the Reina-Valera (public domain). None of these texts are owned by Verso; they belong to the public domain and are freely available.
Intellectual property
The Verso name, brand, app design, icons, interface, original audio, and all other original content are owned by Verso and protected under applicable intellectual property laws. Public-domain scripture text is not claimed as Verso’s property. Reproduction, modification, or distribution of any protected part of the app without prior written authorization is prohibited.
Acceptable use
You agree to use Verso only in a lawful manner and in accordance with these terms. You may not: attempt to access Verso systems or data without authorization; reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app; use the app for resale or commercial services; overload or interfere with the service infrastructure; or use automated means to extract content from the app at scale.
EULA — End User License Agreement
This End User License Agreement (“EULA”) is entered into between you and Verso and supplements these Terms of Use.
License grant. Subject to your compliance with these terms, Verso grants you a limited, non-exclusive, personal, and non-transferable license to install and use the Verso app on devices you own or control, for personal devotional use.
Restrictions. You may not: (a) copy, modify, or create derivative works of the app; (b) redistribute, sublicense, rent, lease, or resell the app or any part of it; (c) reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app, except to the extent expressly permitted by law; (d) remove copyright notices or other proprietary markings from the app.
Termination. This license is effective until terminated. Verso may terminate this license immediately, without notice, if you breach any provision of this EULA or the Terms of Use. Upon termination, you must stop using the app and delete all copies in your possession.
Provided “as is”. The app is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, except to the extent required by law.
Disclaimer of warranties
Verso is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Verso makes no warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. The devotional content provided by the app does not constitute professional, medical, legal, or psychological advice.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Verso shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of or inability to use the app. Verso’s total liability to you, for any cause, shall be limited to the amount paid for the subscription in the preceding twelve months, or one hundred Brazilian reais (R$ 100.00), whichever is greater.
Changes to these terms
Verso may update these Terms of Use from time to time. When there are meaningful changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use of Verso after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. Any dispute arising from these terms or from the use of the app shall be submitted to the courts of the Verso operator’s domicile in Brazil, with express waiver of any other jurisdiction, however privileged it may be.
